Ingredients:
- 5 mL of our organic herbal bitters for liver, gut, & overall digestive health
- 4 limes
- 1 cup fresh spearmint leaves
- 4 tablespoons raw honey
- A pinch of sea salt
- 3 cups brewed spearmint tea, cooled
- 2 cups sparkling water
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Start by washing the limes and spearmint leaves thoroughly.
- Cut the limes into quarters, and set aside a few spearmint leaves for garnishing later.
- In a large pitcher, add the fresh spearmint leaves.
- Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, gently muddle the mint to release its essential oils.
- Juice the limes and add the juice to the pitcher with the muddled mint.
- Add the raw honey and herbal bitters to the pitcher.
- Whisk together the lime juice, muddled mint, and honey until well combined.
- Sprinkle in a pinch of sea salt and whisk again to ensure it's evenly distributed.
- Brew the spearmint tea and let it cool completely.
- Pour the cooled tea into the pitcher and stir the mixture well.
- Just before serving, add the sparkling water to the pitcher. This gives your mojito a delightful fizz.
- Stir gently to combine.
- To serve, ensure no crushed mint gets into the drink by using a fine strainer if necessary.
- Line the rim of each cup with a lime wedge and dip it into sea salt for a zesty touch.
- Fill your glasses with ice if desired and pour the herbal mojito over the top.
- Garnish with a few reserved spearmint leaves and a slice of lime for a beautiful presentation.
Tips and Variations:
- Make it Sweeter: Adjust the amount of honey to your taste. You can also experiment with other natural sweeteners like agave syrup or stevia.
- Chill Your Ingredients: For an extra refreshing drink, make sure all your ingredients, including the tea and sparkling water, are well chilled before mixing.
