Ingredients
Homemade Spiced Apple Syrup:
** this will make more than one serving - I love keeping mine in a glass container in the fridge to use for other mocktails or on top of pancakes / waffles!
- 1 cup organic 100% apple juice
- 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Mocktail:
- ~2 Tbsp of the homemade syrup
- 4-6 oz still or sparkling water (can also do half 100% apple juice and half water if you prefer it to be sweeter)
- 1 dropper full of PLH herbal Sleepy tincture (for nervous system, stress and sleep support!)
Directions
Step 1 - Apple Spiced Syrup
Add 100% apple juice and coconut sugar to a pot over medium heat. Heat and stir for about 3-4 minutes (note that there will be extra syrup leftover - keep refrigerated and use for future mocktails, over pancakes or to make apple spiced coffee!)
Step 2
Add in the pure maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger and pure vanilla extract and stir. If you've made our Pumpkin Spice Mocktail, this syrup won't get quite as thick or "syrup-like" as the PSL syrup - that is okay for it to be more watery!
Step 3
Pour the syrup into a glass container and place in the fridge to cool (you can also place it in the freezer for about 15 minutes to quickly cool it down!)
Step 4
In a cup, add about about 2 Tbsp of the apple spice syrup, 4-6 oz of still or sparkling water, and a dropper-full of PLH Sleepy!
And now enjoy your Autumn Apple Spiced Herbal Mocktail!
